Wild Card Strategy
Forecasting Workshop

In one day, on-site at your business, we’ll take your planning team through the forecasting process. At the end of that day, you’ll have a prioritized list of plausible Wild Card Opportunities and Threats relating specifically to your business and the environment within which it operates. That list comes with instructional guidance on how to knit your Wild Cards into your existing strategic plan. If you’d prefer that we do that work, we’ll come back to your business for an optional second day and do the “knitting” for you.

These are the steps we’ll take during the workshop:

  • Identify: Using a matrix process, we’ll identify potential Wild Cards that would have significant positive or negative impact on your organization if they occurred.  We’ll put that list together by brainstorming eight types of Wild Cards against a two-dimensional backdrop of thirty internal aspects of your organization and the seven primary components of the external environment in which your organization operates.
  • Analyze: We’ll analyze the potential impact and likelihood and urgency of each identified Wild Card using a process that will prioritize the ultimate importance of the Wild Card since time, money, and staff are always in short supply.

Further steps are taken during the optional second day if the client elects to add that.
